How to buy crypto with Revolut

Revolut is the easiest place to buy crypto if you already use it for banking. The one thing to check first: whether your account can SEND crypto to an external wallet — that ability has rolled out gradually and isn’t available to everyone.

Region: Europe / UK (where available) Difficulty: ★☆☆ Time: ~10–20 min (first time)
Limited / region-dependent

External crypto withdrawals exist but depend on your region, the coin, and your account — with limits. Confirm sending is enabled for YOUR account before you rely on it for casino deposits.

💬 We may earn a commission from the links below, at no extra cost to you. It never changes our one rule: only providers that can send crypto to an external wallet can actually fund a casino. Full disclosure.

  1. Before you start

Quick checklist so nothing trips you up:

    • The Revolut app installed and your account set up (most people already have this).
    • A government photo ID, in case you’re asked to re-verify for crypto.
    • Money in your Revolut balance, or a card/bank to top up.
    • The casino’s USDT deposit address and required network (you’ll grab these in Step 4).
    Your crypto guide

Before anything else: in Step 4 we check whether your Revolut can actually send crypto out. That’s the make-or-break bit.

  2. Open the Crypto section

Revolut has crypto built into the main app — no separate account needed.

    • Open Revolut and tap the “Crypto” tab (sometimes under “Invest” or the search bar).
    • If prompted, accept the crypto terms and complete any extra identity check.

What you’ll see: A list of coins you can buy, with live prices.

  3. Make sure you have money to spend

You buy crypto straight from your Revolut balance.

    • If your balance is low, tap “Add money” and top up by card or bank transfer.
    • EU users: SEPA bank transfer is cheap; cards are instant.

What you’ll see: Your available balance at the top of the app.

  4. Buy USDT

USDT is the digital dollar — stable value, ideal for paying a casino. (Revolut also offers BTC, ETH and others, but those swing in price.)

    • In the Crypto tab, search for “USDT” (Tether).
    • Tap “Buy”, enter the amount, and confirm.

What you’ll see: A USDT balance roughly equal to the euros/pounds you spent, minus a small fee.

  5. ★ Check you can send — then send to the casino

This decides whether Revolut works for casino deposits at all. You need the “send to external wallet” feature.

    • In your USDT holding, look for “Send”, “Transfer” or “Withdraw” → “To an external wallet / blockchain address”.
    • If you only see options to send to other Revolut users, your account can’t send crypto out yet — buy elsewhere (Coinbase/Kraken/widget) instead.
    • If external sending IS available: in the casino cashier, copy the USDT deposit address and note the NETWORK.
    • Paste the address in Revolut, choose the matching network, send a small test amount first, then the rest.

What you’ll see: A confirmation that the transfer was sent, moving to “completed”.

    Your crypto guide

No external-send option? Totally fine — head to the Coinbase or MoonPay guide. You’ll be funded in minutes.

  6. Confirm it arrived

Your USDT should appear in the casino balance within minutes.

    • Check the casino cashier shows your deposit.
    • For withdrawals later, request a crypto payout to your Revolut external address (if enabled) or to another wallet/exchange.

What you’ll see: Deposit credited — ready to play.

Troubleshooting

I can only send crypto to other Revolut users

That means external-wallet sending isn’t enabled for your account/region yet. You can still buy and hold here, but to fund a casino use a provider that sends to external wallets — Coinbase, Kraken or a widget like MoonPay/Ramp.

I can’t buy USDT at all

EU MiCA rules restrict USDT on some platforms. Try the Europe region guide for a buy-to-wallet widget that delivers USDT straight to a wallet.

My crypto transfer is “pending” for a long time

On-chain transfers usually arrive in minutes. Check the transaction status in-app; if it shows “completed” but the casino hasn’t credited it, contact the casino with the transaction ID.

My top-up failed

Try a bank (SEPA) transfer instead of card, or add money from a different source. Cards are occasionally blocked for crypto-related spending.
