Quick answers about buying USDT, wallets and networks, deposits and withdrawals, and staying safe.

Getting started

What is crypto?

Digital money that lives on the internet and that you own directly, without a bank in the middle. You keep it in a wallet and can send it to anyone, usually within minutes. Our beginner guide explains it step by step.

What is USDT?

A stablecoin designed to stay worth about one US dollar. Because its value barely changes, it’s the most widely used coin for online payments in Latin America.

Do I need a lot of money to start?

No. You can buy small fractions of a coin, often starting from the equivalent of a few dollars.

Is using crypto legal in my country?

Buying and holding crypto is generally allowed across Latin America, but rules differ and change over time, especially for payments and gambling. Check the rules where you live before you start.

Buying USDT

Where can I buy USDT?

On a crypto exchange or app that operates in your country, or on a P2P marketplace inside an exchange. Each country guide lists local providers and the payment methods they accept.

Can I pay with my local currency?

Yes. Depending on your country you can use bank transfers, PIX, SPEI, Mercado Pago, Nequi, Yape and other local methods. In Ecuador you pay in US dollars.

What is P2P and is it safe?

P2P means you buy directly from another user, while the platform holds the crypto in escrow until the seller confirms your payment. It’s safe when you stay inside the platform, choose sellers with a good track record and pay only with the method shown in the order.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Regulated platforms are required to know their customers (KYC). You’ll usually need an ID document and a selfie. It protects you and the platform against fraud.

How much does it cost to buy USDT?

Exchanges charge a trading fee, often around 0.1% on global exchanges and more on some local apps, and P2P prices include a spread. Compare how much USDT you actually receive, not only the advertised fee.

Wallets & networks

Do I need a crypto wallet?

Not necessarily. You can keep USDT in your exchange account. A personal wallet gives you full control, but then you alone are responsible for the recovery phrase.

What is a recovery phrase?

Usually 12 or 24 words that give full access to a personal wallet. Anyone who has them controls your money, so never share them, never type them into a website and keep them offline.

What is a network (TRC-20, BEP-20, ERC-20)?

The blockchain road your crypto travels on. USDT exists on several networks. The sender and receiver must use the same one.

What happens if I choose the wrong network?

The funds can be lost or take a long, uncertain recovery process. Always match the network shown by the receiver and send a small test amount first.

Deposits & withdrawals

How do I deposit USDT at an online casino?

In the cashier choose USDT and a network, copy the deposit address, then send USDT from your exchange or wallet on exactly the same network. Our deposit and withdrawal guide walks you through each step.

How long does a deposit take?

Usually a few minutes, once the transfer has enough blockchain confirmations.

How long does a withdrawal take?

It depends on the operator: processing can take from minutes to a few business days. After that, the blockchain transfer itself is quick.

Can I cash out to my bank account?

Yes. Send the USDT to your exchange, sell it for local currency and withdraw to your bank or wallet, or sell it on a P2P marketplace.

My deposit hasn’t arrived. What should I do?

Find the transaction ID (TXID) in your exchange history, check it on a blockchain explorer and contact the casino’s support with the TXID, amount and network.

Safety

Can a crypto transfer be reversed?

Generally no. Once confirmed on the blockchain, a transfer is final. Double-check the address and network before sending.

How do I recognise a scam?

Be wary of anyone asking for your recovery phrase, remote access to your phone, payment outside a P2P platform or promising guaranteed profits. Contact providers only through their official app or website.

How can I keep my account secure?

Use a strong unique password, turn on two-factor authentication and only download apps from official stores.
